Education is what shapes the individuals of this country. It is the very grounding of what allows us to be free. It grants us the freedom to think for ourselves, the freedom to come to know this world and the freedom to then make a change within it. Education must be of the utmost importance to us as a nation.
Everyone must see this film. It’s a brilliant exposition of the state of education in the US. There are so many problems with our educational institutions and the position that we are in is even worse than I could have imagined. There are so many large-scale changes that need to take place. And they can be made if people just open their eyes and take action for the sake of the future of our nation and the future of humanity.

Moment of Honesty: We ALL Need One!
Right Now find something to write on, something to write with and wherever you are, however busy you may think you are, be still.
Now write. In this moment there is something that is in the back of your mind, an unresolved, loose end, something nagging at you that you know you’ve got to start.
Bring it forward. Call it out. Take it on.
We all need a wake up call and I just had mine. I’ve been making more excuses lately than I ever have and I needed someone to put a mirror up to my behavior. For the longest time I’ve been settling for so much less than my best. The world is literally at my fingertips and continually I turn it away. I know what I’m capable of! In this year I’ve made so much progress but I’ve allowed it to slip away recently. I’ve allowed so many things to cover up my dishonesty with myself.
But this is the moment. Our moment.
Today is day one. I accept and own my life, my choices and my current position and I know where I want to be. With love, honesty and courage, now is my time to show up, to take action and embody the woman that I was meant to be.
